Becoming a Signatory Contractor

Frequently Asked Questions

Question:  Why would I want to become a signatory contractor?

Answer:   IBEW affiliation is a huge decision for your company, but what the IBEW offers is BETTER VALUE and HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY, which equals MORE $$$$$ FOR YOU.  Local 375 provides you with the safest, most highly trained and productive electricians in the industry to fulfill any Residential, Commercial and/or Industrial needs.

Question:  How does IBEW affiliation benefit me and my company?

Answer: You save TIME and MONEY!

Your company will enjoy the flexibility of having skilled electricians only when you need them.   When times are slow, our referral system allows you to simply send them back to us and we will find a place for them. Then when work picks back up, give us a call and your workforce needs will be met. You will no longer have to waste time conducting countless interviews and you’ll quickly and easily have the highly qualified electricians that you need.

Question:  I am a small contractor. How do I afford “UNION RATES”?

AnswerThe IBEW Local 375 has a range of options to assist you in meeting the needs of your company.  There are numerous classifications, options and programs available to help you keep your crew cost down by giving you the skill levels you need while not having to turn work away because you just do not have the manpower.

Question:  What happens to my employees?  I have a lot of good people working for me.

Answer:  Everyone has a place within the IBEW family.  Each of the classifications above provides for a perfect fit for all of your current employees along with all future ones.

IBEW Local 375 offers an extensive training program to provide your company with fully trained workers and we can offer training to your current workforce as well.  Each year we spend thousands and thousands of dollars training apprentices as well as continuing education for the journey-level worker.  Regardless of the employee’s classification, improving skills and knowledge is always encouraged.  All training is provided at the JATC training facilities with NO COST TO YOU!

How much does your company spend on safety training per employee?  $500…. $1000…. $2000? Members of Local 375 understand the connection between safety and profit.  Safety is put first, which results in lower workers compensation costs and less downtime.  We accomplish this through our safety related training programs that are offered to all members at NO COST TO YOU!
